Re: Motorola DynaTAC PrototypeI think this is one of the oldest cellphone prototypes ever Because the DynaTAC was the first modern cellphone ever
Is there any data label or serial number under the battery? Have You tried to take it apart? Peter
Re: Motorola DynaTAC PrototypeHi Peter,
I tried to remove the screws but one of these are damaged. I am still looking for a tool, but actual I cannot remove them. I guess the MSN and model number were placed on a label at the bottom of the phone. But the label is missing. But if I will get the right tool I will take it apart! Cheers Thomas
Re: Motorola DynaTAC PrototypeEven better if you could get it to power up !
Re: Motorola DynaTAC PrototypeCan i ask where are you find? and how much it was? normal phone does for sale on ebay 4-7.000$ now
Re: Motorola DynaTAC PrototypeI bought it on Ebay in 2013. I were lucky and got it for appr, $1.400.00.
Re: Motorola DynaTAC PrototypeWow, this is awesome!
Re: Motorola DynaTAC PrototypeThomas, have you tried to power up this phone yet ?
Interesting that there are no SEND & END labelled buttons on it. Chris.
Re: Motorola DynaTAC PrototypeHi Chris ,
not yet. Unfortunately, I have no idea how I can get the device to power and also want to do anything wrong and damaging it. Do you have any idea for me? Cheers Thomas
Re: Motorola DynaTAC PrototypeHi Thomas.
So there are 6 nicad cells in the battery pack. This means you will need a 7.5v DC power source. The positive terminal on the battery pack is the one connected to the diode in the pack. So whatever terminal on the phone aligns with this terminal is where you provide + 7.5v DC. Would be very cool if it did still power up ! Then you need a test set...... Cheers, Chris.
