Re: Motorola MicroTAC SC-725 PrototypeHi all,
I was lucky enough to win the Ebay auctions with the various Motorola protos. In the next days I will be able to show some other devices here. The pictures show different devices of the SC-725 protos. I am not quite sure if I have chosen the correct standard here. Some devices are marked with AMPS or NAMPS. The condition of the devices is quite different. Many have pixel errors, some are without flaws. Interesting are the notes on the back of some devices. It was probably the different test phases (Room, Hot, Cold, Desense) checked off. Cheers Thomas
Re: Motorola MicroTAC SC-725 PrototypeHi Thomas:
Thanks for the photos! According to Motorola's March 3, 1997 press release for the SC-725, it supports analog operation (on both AMPS 832-channel and NAMPS 2412-channel systems) in addition to CDMA, so you entered the correct standard. http://web.archive.org/web/199706170627 ... sc725.html Eventually (no later than early 1999) the phone was listed on the Motorola website, and the Quick User Guide says analog-only operation can be toggled on or off by pressing FCN, 2. http://web.archive.org/web/199905080655 ... 25qug.html Zachary.
