I recently came across some phones on eBay listed as the DynaTAC 8000SK, SL and MG and would love to get some more info on this, as it’s the first time I have ever heard any of those models mentioned.
I was always under the impression that the common, 20-button segment LED display model was the 8000M and the 21-button version was the 8000F (the “F” presumably meaning (F)CN button).

I believe this is not true: "20-button segment LED display model was the 8000M"
8000M basically was put to market with 21-buttons keypad. Nothing with 20-buttons keypad will be 8000M.

I do not think so. The 8000F has 21 buttons. One can also look it up here: http://www.mobilecollectors.net/phone/4 ... ac%2B8000fThere is also the guide that identifies the 21 buttons 8000 as 8000F. The 8000 with 20 buttons and the big LED display is, in my opinion, the 8000M. From a 8000mg, 8000sl, etc. I have never heard anything. But the seller on Ebay also offers MicroTAC Personal as 9000X and a DPC as 9400X. They do not exist either.

I am 100% sure this is only one right and very first 8000M https://c8.alamy.com/comp/E28XWF/vintag ... E28XWF.jpg8000F is just different varies but 20-buttons phone is absolutly not 8000M and I never saw it in any advertisement marked as 8000M I believe 1988+ 20 button phones are 8000S Mk II. 1990+ 21 buttons phones are 8000M + F S* will be submodels (software, functions, changes or color)

retrocellphones, could you please provide the sources where you found out this information? That is what I'm after.
You are the person selling the phones on eBay right? The backdrop in some of the images looks like the backdrop on some of your images on here.
Thanks,

Hello retrocellphones,
The phone in the picture I have myself. It is as a picture under the 8000F models on this page. Why are you 100% sure that this is the first 8000M? It is identical to the 8000F.
I do not know the 8000s Mk. II and have never heard of it.

I would still really love some actual information on this (such as an ad or something else official). I have researched this and been unable to find any information on an 8000MG, SK or SL. I’m only pointed to the old eBay auctions when I search any of those.
