How to chek phone without batery?Hy all, how to chek phone without batery? I want to know is it working. If I identify voltage, to what contakts I should connect? I hope you will understud me (nokia 9000).
Re: How to chek phone without batery?Hi Jonny.
Do you have a multimeter ? If so, just measure the resistance from each of the battery terminals on the phone to an earth point somewhere on the phone (one of the screws perhaps). The battery terminal that reads zero ohms to ground is obviously the negative terminal. Just need to know the battery voltage to apply an external power source, this should be mentioned in the handbook at least. Cheers, Chris.
Re: How to chek phone without batery?Hello all,
I couldn't find any information about battery contacts, but battery (BLK-4S) voltage is 7,2 volts. It doesn't have to be exactly that, but around 7-7,5 volts probably will do.
Re: How to chek phone without batery?
Thanks But phone has 4 contacts: VBat+, GND, BSI, BTemp. Withput BTemp should turn on, but what I should have connected to the BSI?
Re: How to chek phone without batery?
Yes I think so too, but with connected only + and - phone will not turn on.
Re: How to chek phone without batery?Ground BSI (and maybe BTemp too) through a resistor, says these websites:
http://shaddack.twibright.com/projects/hw_nokiabat/ and http://www.cpkb.org/wiki/BSI You could try to find a similar battery and wire it to the phone. If you're careful, maybe two BLC-2 batteries in series (to get 2 * 3,6v) and wire BSI&BTemp to one of them...?
Re: How to chek phone without batery?
Thank You
Re: How to chek phone without batery? My Nokia 9000 is a life Enough to connect + and -, and this phone is turning on.
Re: How to chek phone without batery?Good to hear that you got it working!
Re: How to chek phone without batery? The other contacts are used for charging info, ie the resistance value denotes the cell type and voltage and the remaining contact is an over temperature thermistor which will cause charging to stop. To run the phone only + and - need to be connected.
