Hi,

I guess thís phone is very unusual. All of my other 8000M have the red dot matrix display. This one is the only one with the yellow letters. Great that you both guys have the 8000X Mark II. Have you upload this phone here? I would be happy to have it too and it would be great to see some pictures. :P

Again, it's amazing how many different models are available from this period. As I have already collected a few years was my desire to have all DynaTAC devices completely in my collection. But this is unfortunately impossible! :(

Cheers
Thomas

Hi Thomas, how much 8000M with red dot matrix LED do you have ? It´s too very rare i think. I saw few models on ebay, not much.
I can upload photos later because I am awaiting delivery. It´s with green "DM-LED" display.
Lot of models made in 80 - 90s, but lot of Dynatac phones on your images its absolutly same with different logo only (i think). But It´s impressive collection. I am planning to get all of different dynatac and microtac phones what i can find.
I sold my collection before few years, i am angry daily. never sell again. Very hard to find 20% of my collection but i have new and rarest 50+ 1981-89 cellphones. Maybe I can be happy.

Hi,

Too bad that you have sold your collection. But I see that you have very nice phones yet! :P

I am I collect so very long ago and annoyed now that I have specialized only on Motorola. Back then you could great old phones still for a very low price. My first DynaTAC 8000X I bought for $50.00 only .

I have 45 8000M within my collection. 44 of them have the red dot matrix LED. Because I am collecting Motorola only, I always looking for DynaTac´s with a different carrier logo. In total I have 255 Motorola brick type phones, incl. 8 x 8000S, 8 x 8000X, 7 x 8100L, and 11 x 8500X. 8-)

Today I bought an 8500X which has an Italian Serpitel branding. I did not know until today that there was ever this device.

Cheers
Thomas

Yes, I sold my 200+ phones in 2010 but now I have 500+ phones and I found phones what probably nobody find in last 20 years. Maybe yes but some old persons without collection visible on net. I will try to find all what I can. What I lost I have back. Dynatac and Microtac models missing but i am looking and buying weekly. Maybe I will not buy 255 Motorola bricks but 200 i will try :D

I remember my first 8000X for 80 GBP but absolutly new condition. I am thinking if its possible to get another 8000X phones for good money. Probably not. Maybe for swap. But I want US version, British Telecom and few another. Don´t need 10 pieces.
When you say 45, i think you´re using bad words. 44 of them have red LED segment display (calc style) because dot matrix display its only that yellow 8000M one. :)

Lot of phones, onle 8100L i am looking, next rare 8200X i found already. Its very herd because looks very similar bot 8100L with small HP led display and another models with classic seg LED display.

Its too interested, 50 variants of 8500X model. :D

Hi,

Yes, I use the wrong word. The 8000M have the red LED segment Display!

You're right, most 8000X is you probably no longer find a feasible price. There are now also many collectors and sellers know what they have there.

The 8100L is not as well known, and many can not distinguish from the unit 8000M. Since we find ever more slightly.

Next, there are a number of rare NMT models. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to get something, because sellers often do not ship internationally.

Cheers

Hi,
now I bought 2x your 8000M (but i think its same 8000X MKII or do you have confirmed "M" model?) with yellow DOT Matrix screen, dark and light panel. Very interested combination and probably still good price. :)
Now 1x with green and 2x with yellow DM-LED screen. Photos will be when all arrive.

I saw its just different screen, another similar (in case of white model with white/yellow front panel). But for example original 8000M was made with thin plastic body, not similar with body of 8000X/S/old pulsar. Really lot of versions of similar models. I know about the pulsar phones with thin and thick body

One way, swap 8000x phone for another rare missed for interestor. :)

Yes, do you mean motorola ultra classic "clones" for nmt with LCD and DM-LED screen marked motorola, storno or another. I have, its very similar with 8800x.

Hi Thomas, My DynaTAC 8000X Mk. II was added right now. You can check and let me know if its unknown model or maybe do you have but You don´t know about it ? :)
I can send better photos of course,
